WILLIAM HEAD
Is a non-fiction filmmaker, transmedia director and curator based in Melbourne. He has a few degrees. An undergraduate in media studies, a masters in political economy and a graduate diploma in documentary filmmaking from The Victorian College of the Arts. His films have played in many international film festivals and in 2010 he reieved an ATOM award in documentary and a nomination in multimedia. He was featured in the 2010 F4 Festival for emerging filmmakers at The Australian International Documentary Conference and recieved a Raw Nerve grant from Screen Australia and Open Channel. In 2011 he attended the Australian/European Crossover labs in Melbourne and Sheffield.
He is a founding producer of the documentary screening program Don't You Have Docs? and the program director of the Generation Next Documentary Conference.
He is also Yay Tractor.
He feels weird about writing about himself in the third person and referring to himself as 'he' so he will stop now.
